This elegant shower was tiled using 6’x3’ large format tiles. Stunning!!!
Tiles are getting bigger and bigger! For this project, the homeowners selected 72”x36” tile panels. These large format tiles bring an element of elegance to your bath. The sheer size of these tiles makes for a difficult and challenging installation. Cutting them is difficult and moving them around can wear you down. They weigh over 80 lbs each! Progress pictures to follow. Now booking for fall 2025
The old and dated plastic shower surround was updated with this beautiful tile. Classic subway tile is timeless and compliments so many bathrooms in the older homes of Bucks County. A niche adds much needed storage for all of the shower bottles. And the floor tile was vintage-like to keep integrity with the home’s age. Details matter when it comes to your bathroom. This shower brings elegance and precision together for a truly stunning result. The blue variation in the wall tile add warmth and character. The niche holds all the shampoo bottles, keeping them off the shower floor. Ready to upgrade your space? https://harpertilecontractors.com/
This will be my office for the next few weeks. This luxury bath is getting all the good stuff. Bathroom floor will be of white 12x4” marble set in a herringbone pattern. Walls to be of Turkish 12 x 24” marble. Both bathroom floor and shower floor will be heated. Shower floor will be curbless. And there will be a custom quartz bench/ shelf. Really looking forward to diving into this one!
May and June were very busy with many different types of installs. 20 years ago, 12x12” tiles were the norm. Nowadays, a tile setter needs knowledge and skills to be able to install the many different types of tiles that we are asked to install. Don’t trust your install to a “handyman”. I am a member of NTCA which means I receive training and updates on all the newest tiles and materials. Just in May and June, I’ve installed a glass and stainless steel backsplash, a marble mosaic floor over an in floor heating system, a stacked stone fireplace, an individually set pebble shower floor, a glass backsplash, and a custom shower stall with custom niches. Thanks for looking!
UPDATE: Progress made on this master bath in Yardley, Pa. Finished pictures coming soon
Master bath I recently finished in Yardley. Shower wall tile was 18”x36” with back wall set on a diagonal. Shower floor was of pebbles. Niche on the rear wall for all the shampoo bottles. The small “mailbox” niche is a foot rest for leg shaving. Bathroom floor was of 6x 42” plank style. Extra space was found behind the shower head wall so I was able to add built-in shelving.

Sometimes I wake up at 3:00am thinking about your tile. There’s no extra charge for this 🤔
A little before and after. Homeowner wanted a more dramatic look than this white subway but didn’t want to replace all the tile in the bathroom. The shower wall tile was carefully tied into the existing wall tile and this large format tile gave a more modern and sleeker look. I feel the large black tile was a great choice, adding a contemporary look with very small grout joints (1/8”). Yardley, PA https://harpertilecontractors.com/
https://harpertilecontractors.com/ White subway tile with a blue glass vertical band. A niche (of course) to keep the shampoo bottles in one place. A bench with a marble seat. Newtown, PA
Closing out the year with this hall bath. Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and healthy new year!
Master bath in Newtown, PA. With a custom niche that will hold all the shampoo bottles
Powder room I finished a few months ago. These little spaces are great for adding the “wow” factor. Floor was a scalloped porcelain with a high gloss finish. It was challenging to install. And I love the wallpaper too!
Steam shower. Yardley, PA The prep is most important when building a steam shower. All walls, floors, and ceiling must be waterproofed. NTCA guidelines require Schluter board on wall and ceiling. The floor was a wet-bed waterproofed with Schluter Kerdi membrane. Penny tiles on the floor
Porcelain “marble” like floor and shower stall. Get the look of timeless marble without the maintenance of a natural stone. This floor was out 3”, the house was a 100 year old farm house, a wet bed was used to level the floor Newtown, PA
Marble shower stall using “scalloped” marble as an accent in the niche
This free standing tub is surrounded with Carrera marble on the wainscoting. The wood-like plank style floor is set in a herringbone pattern. Very dramatic look!
Chevron pattern on the shower walls. Double niche was very challenging. Fun project to work on!
Chevron pattern on walls of the shower. Double niche. Plank style hardwood like bathroom floor.
Master bath with heated floor; Lambertville, NJ
Subway tile tub surround. Black Schluter trim used to frame out niche and window.
Very clean looking shower. White Schluter trims out the niches. Small niche by bench was rumored to be used for a cup of coffee
This tub surround was finished 10 years ago (note the soap dishes) and is still looking good!
What People Say About Us
Vince did an excellent job on my backsplash. Highly recommend!
Vince was awesome! Very meticulous and conscientious about keeping my home clean during the whole process. The end result is beautiful. We will be using him again in the future
Vince was AMAZING! I finally remodeled my bathroom and two weeks later, I still gasp when I walk in -- I can't believe how beautiful it is. He did an A++++ job, was incredibly patient, arrived at the same time every day, was tremendously respectful, and tolerated a nosy cat who closely inspected his work. I am beyond grateful to have found Vince and he will be called again for the next tile job!
Love our new powder room floor. Vince was professional and knowledgeable. Recommended a herringbone pattern with a border that we love. Can’t wait to remodel our hall bath!
Would highly recommend Harper Tile Contractors without hesitation. Vince did a great job on a tedious backsplash installation. He was meticulous about his work. Showed up on time and worked diligently to get the job done - no dragging things along. We appreciated that he left the job site neat and clean at the end of every day. Very professional and easy to deal with. Hope to use him again on future renovation projects our home.
